Why beavers chew sticks.
Because they like it hard, I guess!? And that's what it is all about on the new Protocast, which is out on promo. Featuring artists like Thomash Gee & Switchblade, D-Drive, Joey Rambone and Ancronix make this release a diverse piece of vinyl. Ancronix provided the opening track titled "Why Beavers Chew Sticks". A crossover between Hard Techno and Acid with a sniff of porn before the drop. It hits your stick like a heavyweight beaver :)
Make sure to keep an eye out for the official release (ETA in about 2 or 3 weeks) because Proto 1 is sold out, 2 is practically sold out and 3 almost! If you are still in need of Protocast records check out www.sector-1.com |

The Protocast #3 arrived.
And, oh my gosh this one is wild. Next to bashing material from Thomash Gee & Switchblade and Ophidian & Ruffneck, Ancronix also delivers a track called 'Fundamental Rudeness'. This time it is the easiest of the four tracks on the 12". But despite of that, it still bursts the concrete of the walls! Ohw... and mind the broken break ;)

Lost 76 Sizer stuff!
Actually this is more old then news, but what the hell, I'll just drop it because I was quite surprised it is still online on the G*Mart site. There are four 76 Sizer (an Ancronix pseudo) mp3's free for download. I must admit, it's rather old stuff, but hey... old can be fun too, especially when it free..... Hmmm, that sounded a bit scary and maybe a little to kinky!?! Well for the record I'm talking about music here! The 76 Sizer tracks are: Kaasfunk, Spyware, Summer Sweat & Backdrill. All a bit choppy and breaky orientated. Feel free to leech!
It appears G*Mart has a brand new site. They decided to remove the mp3's. So when you leeched it earlier, you're lucky! |

Ancronix drops some neurological, tolerant, scientific rhythms on Protocast 2
Don't smile in front of the speakers while the Protocast 2 is played. To shit out your dentures isn't a pleasant job to say the least ;) With two pounding Ancronix tracks on one side and two hammering Ophidian tracks on the other side the Protocast label moves two number dos.
The first Ancronix track is 'Neuroscience'. Heavy kicks, a nerve-racking acid-like melody, propped by some indefinable spitting synths, makes this track an 'on-your-head' energetic adventure. The second track 'Ritmo Tollerante' is a deep, grooving, chord driven track, with a lo-fi lead that will give you the ultimate rave-in-a-concrete-bunker feeling. Hard & Sexy!
Check on www.protocast.nl for more info or grab it on www.sector-1.com. Or you can WIN a free copy of the Protocast 2 on Sector-1 by answering a simple question in their contest here. |

Sudden Def recordings got infected by the Dutchies.
On the 20th release of Sudden Def recordings (UK) Ancronix will release his 'Lightly Salted' on the flip of the Noisia remix of Skynet's Carbon Shock. The testpressing is ready to hit the floors around the world. The official release is planned for the 2nd half of October.
A funny project because despite of the fact Noisia and Ancronix both are from the small lands of Nether, they never met on a 12"! |

Who's that weird sucker with the crammed sound and the green & orange site?
Well, maybe you asked yourself that question. Anyway the people at sector-1.com did, and they found a smart solution for it.
An interview with Ancronix. check it out here. |

Which A side?
Ruff-Teck 65 was a funny project because two totally different vibes met on one 12". Which resulted in the double A sided Ruff-Teck 65 with DJ Hidden's 'Wastelands' on the A side and Unusual Incident's 'Drug In' on the.... A side.
If you don't have it already, take some time to check it out on the Ruff-Teck website because it's running out of copies! |

Tech...what?
Okay, so what's new?
What about some over the top dirty Techno from Ancronix....
huh...!?.
Yep, that's right, I said Dirty, Techno and Ancronix in one sentence. The first and last one aren't strangers, but that 6 letter word in the middle is a bit odd I recon. Well check out the new label Protocast on their stunning website for a preview of Ancronix's 'Mischpult Fehler'. After you fixed your hair to its regular state, read that sentence again. "Dirty, Techno from Ancronix".
But there's more. It's not only Ancronix on the first EP. Also DJ Ruffneck, Daryll Bayes and Ophidian are present on this 4 track monster release!
For more info check www.protocast.nl or bag it at www.sector-1.com |
